JAMES B. ROSE, Partner

(email: jimbazza@frrconsult.com)

Mr. Jim Rose, FRRC's finance officer, brings his extensive entrepreneurial background in finance, marketing, and management to the team. Mr. Rose enjoys a well earned reputation with the local investment banking community, having successfully shepherded the growth of several emerging, medical industry companies.

After completing military service with the U.S. Army Security agency, Mr. Rose was appointed as a State Department Foreign Service officer, providing logistics and management services in the Middle East, North Africa and Europe. Upon his return in 1978, Mr. Rose began his entrepreneurial career co-founding the Optimum Health Corporation with world renowned Botanist Louis Huppert. The team obtained purchase/export rights from the People's Republic of China for wild Manchurian ginseng, as well as similar rights from the former Soviet Union for wild Siberia ginseng. Blending wild North American ginseng with the imports created a health food industry success story. Optimum Health was sold to an investor group in Ft. Lauderdale.

In 1981, Mr. Rose joined E.F. Hutton in Clearwater Florida. During this time, Mr. Rose established an independent business providing continuing education services to CPA's and tax attorneys. After joining Prudential-Bache Securities in 1983, he became involved in personally arranging private local financing for a number of start-up companies. In 1985, Mr. Rose, along with two local attorneys formed Mutual Trust Company of America, an NASD Broker-Dealer and Investment Banking firm. Among the deals handled by Mutual was DiGene, makers of a gene based diagnostic tool. Mutual raised almost two million dollars of start-up capital for DiGene. Three years later, the company went public and nine years later, DiGene was acquired by one of the biotech industry leaders, profitably cashing out all investors.

In 1987, Mr. Rose left Mutual Trust and was recruited to head up Bayjet, an emerging company in the aviation industry. Serving as Bayjet's Vice President and General Manager, Mr. Rose orchestrated several supply contracts which increased annual revenues by thirty-fold during a three year period, capturing Boeing and Bell Textron vendor contracts. In 1990, Mr. Rose returned to Florida seeking other emerging growth situations.

Mr. Rose graduated from the Wharton School of Finance and Commerce with a Bachelor's Degree in International Business Management. Mr. Rose also holds a diploma in International Economic Diplomacy earned from the Gottlieb Duttweiler Institute in Ruslikon/Zurich, and a Master's Degree in Organizational Administration from Indiana University.
